In his response, he made it apparent to the public that he is not fleeing. He clarified that he is not evading responsibility or anything of the type only because he left the nation after losing an election. He claimed that because he is clean and has nothing to conceal, he is not scared of the ORAL team. "I haven't fled from the ORAL group. When we protested against the NDC, they were in power. Nobody cares where I am at the moment. I've been traveling since before the NPP took office, so it's not that I'm fleeing; rather, it's just that I've always done it. I'm not scared of anyone, and I don't flee from anything easily. Why should I be fearful of the government when I have nothing to gain from it? He declared, "I owe no one an explanation."
