A pastor named Elijah Oro was taken into custody by members of the Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Unit of the Bayelsa State Police Command due to a suspected conspiracy to kill a rival prophet in the state. Authorities claim that a 21-year-old guy named Samuel Daniel was paid by the suspect, a Delta State native, to carry out the assault. According to reports, Daniel is a part of the Greenlanders cult.In a statement, DSP Musa Mohammed, the public relations officer for the Bayelsa State Police, confirmed the arrest and said it was based on reliable information.He claims that the two suspects were taken into custody at around 10:35 a.m. on January 28, 2026.Pastor Elijah Oro, 59, of Ozoro, Delta State, and Samuel Daniel, of the Nembe Ogbolomabiri Community, were arrested in relation to an alleged attempt on the life of a prophet, whose identity was hidden.
