ACCRA, GHANA - Sports administrator and development advocate Samira Mensah has been named President of the Ghana Jump Rope & Skipping Federation, taking on a new leadership role within Ghana’s sporting landscape.

Mensah, who also serves as the Women’s Representative of Accra Majestics Sports Academy, has been actively involved in sports development and leadership, with a focus on creating opportunities and strengthening participation in sport.

Her appointment places her at the helm of efforts to develop and promote jump rope and skipping in Ghana, including athlete development, grassroots participation and the strengthening of structures around the sport.

For Accra Majestics, where Mensah serves as Women’s Representative, the appointment is also a significant moment for the Academy. Her work has contributed to the Academy’s efforts to promote participation and opportunities for women in sport.

Her new position adds to the growing presence of women in leadership and decision-making roles within Ghana’s sporting ecosystem.

As she begins her tenure, attention will be on the federation’s efforts to expand participation, support athletes and further establish jump rope and skipping as a recognised and competitive sporting discipline in Ghana.

RA Media Gh congratulates President Samira Mensah on her new role and wishes her a successful and impactful tenure at the Ghana Jump Rope & Skipping Federation.
