On April 16, 2025, African Warriors Sports Academy, led by its visionary founder and coach Eric Sowah, made an impactful visit to the Teshie Southern Cluster—which includes Presbyterian Primary (Classes 4–6 A & B) and JHS (1–3 A & B)—to plant the seeds of a sporting future full of hope, discipline, and purpose.
The day marked more than just an introduction to a sport. It was the beginning of a dream—to transform the school into one of the most renowned Rugby institutions in Ghana.
With a total of 115 enthusiastic students—73 girls and 42 boys—Coach Sowah and his team led a hands-on experience filled with excitement and curiosity. Many of these young minds were encountering Rugby for the very first time.
The session kicked off with an introduction to the game of Rugby, where students learned about its values—teamwork, respect, courage, and integrity. This was followed by basic but vital skills training, focusing on fundamental passing and receiving techniques. In just a short time, laughter mixed with determination filled the school grounds as students caught their first glimpse of the warrior spirit within themselves.

To support the school’s journey into this new frontier, two rugby balls were donated to the primary school and two to the JHS, providing tools to help nurture the talent discovered that day.

Coach Eric Sowah shared his vision with passion: “This is just the beginning. We believe greatness already lives in these students—we’re here to help unlock it. With commitment and continued support, Teshie Southern Cluster can become a beacon of Rugby excellence in Ghana.”

African Warriors Sports Academy is not just building athletes—they’re building leaders, dreamers, and changemakers. And this visit was a powerful step forward in creating access, opportunity, and lasting impact through sport.

To the students of Teshie Southern Cluster: Your Rugby journey has begun—and the whole world is watching. Rise, Warriors. The future is yours.
