The National Petroleum Authority (NPA) has reaffirmed its commitment to women’s empowerment and excellence following the outstanding victory of the NPA Ladies Football Team, whose triumph has brought honour and pride to the Authority.

Commending the team for their impressive performance against Ghana Gas Ladies, the Chief Executive of the NPA, Mr. Godwin Kudzo Tameklo Esq., praised the players for demonstrating discipline, dedication, and resilience in a competitive environment.

“You brought great honour to the Authority. You visited somebody in his home and beat him,” Mr. Tameklo said, highlighting the significance of the victory achieved away from home.
“It demonstrated your service and dedication. Congratulations on your excellent work.”

The match, hosted by Ghana Gas in October, culminated in the NPA Ladies securing a prestigious trophy, underscoring the growing impact of women’s sports within public institutions.

Mr. Tameklo also lauded the technical team, led by Mr. Tijani Shaibu and Mr. Daniel Oduro Mintah, for their strategic leadership and commitment, which were instrumental in guiding the team to success.

The commendation was made when the team, accompanied by the technical staff and the President of NAPET Ladies, Ms. Evelyn Yeboah, paid a courtesy call on the NPA Chief Executive to formally present the trophy.

Beyond celebration, the achievement sends a powerful message about the importance of investing in women’s sports, promoting teamwork, and creating opportunities for women to excel within professional and institutional spaces.

Mr. Tameklo pledged management’s support and appreciation for the team’s achievement, reinforcing the Authority’s resolve to encourage initiatives that foster inclusion, motivation, and excellence.

Advocates say the victory is not only a sporting milestone but also a testament to what women can achieve when given the support, recognition, and platforms to thrive.
