The Member of Parliament for Komenda–Edina–Eguafo–Abrem (KEEA), Hon. Samuel Atta Mills, has undertaken an inspection tour of several ongoing road infrastructure projects across the constituency, reinforcing the importance of quality, accountability and timely delivery in local development.

The tour formed part of the MP’s constitutional oversight responsibility, aimed at assessing the progress of work, ensuring adherence to technical standards, and confirming that contractors are meeting agreed timelines.

During the inspection, Hon. Atta Mills and his entourage visited multiple strategic road projects currently under construction, including the Essaman–Bantuma Road, where drainage works—an essential component of road durability and flood control—are nearing completion.

At the Attabadze Junction to Abrem Agona Road, the MP observed ongoing hill excavation works intended to widen the road corridor, a move expected to significantly improve safety and ease vehicular movement.

The team also inspected the Aburansa–Kafodzidzi–Abrobiano Road, where construction is progressing steadily with visible improvements, as well as the Sefwi–Kwameta–Krofofrodo–Bepowso Road, currently undergoing extensive reshaping under the District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP).

Hon. Atta Mills underscored that the improvement of road infrastructure remains a top priority due to its direct impact on economic activity, access to markets, healthcare, education, and overall quality of life for residents in the various communities.

He commended the contractors for their efforts and presence on site, while urging them to maintain high standards and strictly adhere to completion timelines to ensure value for public investment.

Community members and road users have welcomed the MP’s hands-on approach, noting that improved roads will reduce travel time, lower vehicle maintenance costs, and enhance safety, particularly during the rainy season.

Advocates say sustained parliamentary oversight of infrastructure projects is critical to ensuring that public works deliver long-term benefits, support local economic growth, and respond to the real needs of communities.
