Vice President of Ghana, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, has commissioned the cutting-edge KGL-EVE Medical Centre in Kumasi, underscoring the government's tremendous commitment to strengthening primary healthcare delivery across the country.

The Vice President, accompanied by Her Royal Highness Lady Julia Osei-Tutu, Nana Agyeman Prempeh, and other dignitaries, lauded the collaborative efforts of the KGL Foundation, the EVE Medical Foundation, and their partners in establishing this world-class medical facility, which promises to revolutionize healthcare access and outcomes in the Ashanti Region.

In her address, Professor Opoku-Agyemang emphasized the critical importance of investing in modern, people-centered healthcare infrastructure, particularly in the face of emerging public health threats.

She highlighted the government's relentless efforts to fortify the nation's healthcare system, citing notable initiatives such as the uncapping of the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), nationwide healthcare infrastructure upgrades, and the landmark Africa Health Sovereignty Summit.

She also drew attention to the MahamaCares initiative, a flagship program aimed at providing comprehensive support to patients with chronic diseases. These strategic interventions, she noted, are laying the foundation for long-term health security and underscoring the government's commitment to ensuring universal access to quality healthcare.

In acknowledging the crucial role of partnerships and private sector leadership, Professor Opoku-Agyemang commended the visionary stakeholders behind the KGL-EVE Medical Centre for their exemplary display of corporate social responsibility.

The facility, she observed, embodies the power of shared vision and collective endeavor in driving regional and national development goals.

The KGL-EVE Medical Centre is set to make a profound impact on the healthcare landscape, offering stigma-free mental health services, fostering research collaboration with Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), and bridging the gap between academia and community care.

As she declared the facility open, the Vice President extended her warmest congratulations to all stakeholders involved in the project, expressing her confidence that the Centre will serve the Ashanti Region and Ghana with distinction, contributing meaningfully to the health and progress of this country.
