The Tema Regional Police Command has arrested two suspects in connection with the gruesome murder of a man within the Tema Harbour enclave in the Greater Accra Region.
The arrests followed a distress call received by the police on Friday, May 30, 2025, reporting the discovery of a lifeless male body in the harbour area.
Officers were immediately dispatched to the scene to commence investigations.
In a statement released on Sunday, June 1,2025, the Ghana Police Service revealed that while processing the initial crime scene, they received additional information that a man had been apprehended by some members of the public for allegedly carrying a human head.
Police officers swiftly moved to the second location, where they rescued the suspect from the crowd.
He was later identified as Ali Mustapha and taken into custody. Subsequent investigations led to the arrest of a second suspect, Zakaria Mohammed.
Both individuals are currently assisting police with ongoing investigations. The authorities have assured the public of their commitment to bringing the perpetrators to justice and urged anyone with relevant information to come forward.
