Students and teachers of the Ghana Blind Union were left beaming with joy on Thursday, December 11, 2025, following a special visit from The Luckiest, a lottery-style game that has been rapidly gaining popularity across Ghana.
The event transformed an ordinary school day into a moment of celebration, excitement, and renewed hope for the visually impaired community.
The atmosphere on campus was filled with anticipation as representatives from The Luckiest engaged both students and teachers in a free draw.
Participants enthusiastically took part in the activity, which offered them the rare chance to win valuable household and personal items.
Laughter and applause echoed through the compound as each winner was announced.
By the end of the draw, many beneficiaries walked away with prizes such as mobile phones, blenders, televisions, and several other useful items.
For most students, these gifts represented more than just material possessions—they were symbols of inclusion and recognition from the wider society.

In addition to the individual prizes, The Luckiest made a significant donation to support the daily needs of the school.

The company presented a laptop, a television set, and an impressive 1,000 mobility canes to aid visually impaired students in navigating their environment more safely and independently.

The management of the Ghana Blind Union expressed deep appreciation for the gesture.
Executive Director Dr Peter Kwabena Obeng-Asamoa commended The Luckiest for extending its generosity to both students and staff.
He encouraged other corporate bodies to follow this example and support the union’s ongoing efforts to empower persons with visual impairments.
Dr Obeng-Asamoa also emphasized the importance of corporate social responsibility in uplifting vulnerable communities.
According to him, contributions like these help bridge resource gaps and provide students with tools that enhance their learning and personal growth.
Chief Executive Officer of The Luckiest, Dennis Adutwum, reaffirmed his company’s commitment to giving back to society.
He noted that supporting the Ghana Blind Union aligns with the company’s mission of fostering social inclusion and creating opportunities for all Ghanaians, regardless of their abilities.
Adutwum concluded by pledging that The Luckiest would expand its support to the union in the coming year.
His assurance sparked excitement and optimism among students and staff, who expressed hope for a continued partnership that would further enrich their lives and learning experiences.
