The DAP Global Foundation, in collaboration with Outpouring Oasis and PowerRead Africa Foundation marked this year’s Easter celebrations with its impactful “Love Feast,” bringing together children from different backgrounds for a day of fun, learning, and empowerment in Ghana.
Dr. Amaris N. A. Perbi, founder of the DAP Global Foundation, reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to empowering children across Africa through education, fintech, and community engagement during the event.
Speaking at the celebration, Dr. Perbi explained that the foundation focuses on promoting education and giving children a voice through reading initiatives.
He noted that these efforts align with global development priorities, including the Sustainable Development Goals.
This year’s Love Feast, held on Easter Monday at Outpouring Oasis, brought together children from diverse backgrounds, including those from underprivileged communities, in an inclusive and uplifting environment.
The event featured a range of activities such as games, competitions, and entertainment, alongside food, drinks, and other treats aimed at creating a joyful experience for the children.

The celebration also saw the participation of notable personalities, including Ghanaian comedian Funny Face and young talented poet Nakeeyat Dramani Sam, who engaged the children and added excitement to the day’s activities.

Dr. Perbi highlighted that the Love Feast is an annual initiative that has been running since 2010, with editions held in countries including Rwanda and Tanzania.

He added that beyond the main Easter event, the foundation also organizes smaller outreach programs in rural and underserved communities throughout the year.
According to him, the motivation behind the Love Feast is rooted in the belief that love is a powerful force for unity, healing, and growth.
“By sharing love, we promote forgiveness, patience, joy, and understanding, which are essential for building strong and healthy communities,” he said.
As part of this year’s event, the foundation awarded four outstanding children:
one received GH¢200, another received a tablet, while the remaining two received $200 each as educational support grants to assist with school needs such as uniforms, books, and supplies.
Additional prizes, including trophies, were also presented to winners of various competitions.
Looking ahead, Dr. Perbi disclosed plans to continue the initiative with both major annual Easter celebrations and smaller “mini” Love Feast events across communities, especially targeting vulnerable groups.
Another round of outreach activities is expected before and during the Christmas season.
The Love Feast initiative continues to serve as a platform for fostering unity, boosting children’s confidence, and nurturing talent, while reinforcing the importance of community support and inclusion.
Ghanaian comedian Funny Face also called for greater support for children’s development during the event.
He said his involvement was driven by his passion for helping children grow into responsible adults, stressing that early exposure to positive activities helps shape their future.
He entertained the children and encouraged parents to involve them in such events to broaden their minds and build confidence.
Funny Face further revealed plans to expand his mental health awareness campaign in schools, urging individuals and organizations to support the initiative.
