Chief of Staff Julius Debrah has underscored the imperative of reinvigorating Ghana's manufacturing sector, positing it as a pivotal driver of the nation's economic metamorphosis.
Addressing the Kwahu Business Forum on April 3, Debrah emphasized the necessity of synergistic collaboration between government and the private sector to catalyze sustainable growth.
"Placing manufacturing at the epicentre of Ghana's development agenda is non-negotiable," Debrah averred, stressing that a robust and inclusive economy hinges on deliberate efforts to bolster the sector.
He delineated critical pillars for industrial expansion, including policy clarity, macroeconomic discipline, infrastructural development, efficient regulation, skills enhancement, and a reliable power supply.
"The private sector must invest boldly, innovate consistently, formalise where necessary, and scale beyond its comfort zone," Debrah exhorted, urging entrepreneurs to transcend short-term gains and cultivate long-term competitiveness, resilience, and national impact.
Julius Debrah's call to action underscores the need for a paradigm shift, where manufacturing is accorded primacy as a catalyst for Ghana's economic ascension.
"The private sector must invest boldly, innovate consistently, formalise where necessary, and scale beyond its comfort zone. We must build firms that think not only about immediate margins, but also about long-term competitiveness, resilience, and national impact."
