The Ministry of Health has unveiled plans to launch a nationwide recruitment drive for health professionals, commencing April 16, 2026.
This initiative follows the receipt of financial clearance, paving the way for a transformative recruitment exercise.
"The process will be conducted across the country at the district level, based on verified staffing gaps within health facilities," stated Tony Goodman, Spokesperson for the Ministry of Health. The recruitment process is designed to be decentralised, competitive, and transparent, with selections guided by a meticulously crafted quota system, ensuring equity and meritocracy.
Qualified health professionals are urged to remain vigilant for vacancy announcements and application procedures on official Ministry of Health and district health administration platforms.
The Ministry advises prospective applicants to prepare requisite documentation and credentials in anticipation of the rollout.
With financial clearance valid until December 31, 2026, the Ministry emphasizes that all hiring processes must be concluded within this timeframe. Eligible professionals are encouraged to seize this opportunity to contribute to the strengthening of Ghana's healthcare delivery framework.
