The Ghanaian community in the United States will host the 2026 edition of the Chief’s Grand Durbar on October 24 at the Ehall South, Lake City, Georgia.

The event is expected to bring together traditional leaders, community members, families and friends to celebrate Ghana’s cultural heritage through a display of customs, music and royal pageantry.

The event hosted by Black Heritage Alliance say the durbar serves as a platform for promoting unity, leadership and cultural identity among the diaspora.

Highlights of the event include a grand procession of chiefs and queen mothers, cultural performances featuring traditional music and dance, and a showcase of Ghanaian cuisine.

Participants will also have the opportunity to engage in networking and community fellowship, while an awards and recognition ceremony will honour distinguished individuals for their contributions to the community.

A Kente and cultural fashion display is also planned, showcasing traditional attire and craftsmanship rooted in Ghanaian heritage.

Special guests for the event will include community leaders and distinguished Ghanaian dignitaries from across the United States and beyond.

The durbar is expected to attract a wide audience and reinforce cultural ties among Ghanaians living abroad while promoting Ghana’s rich traditions on the international stage.
