The Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, is set to patronise the official launch of the maiden edition of the Sacred Crown Awards, an initiative aimed at promoting African heritage, spirituality and wellness.

The launch is scheduled for Friday, June 5, 2026, at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra.

Organisers say the awards scheme seeks to recognise individuals and institutions contributing to the preservation and promotion of African cultural values, traditional leadership, spiritual wellness and community development.

The event, which will be held under the theme “Celebrating African Heritage, Spirituality and Wellness,” is expected to bring together traditional rulers, cultural custodians, wellness practitioners, brands and other stakeholders within the heritage and cultural sector.

According to the organisers, the Sacred Crown Awards will honour personalities and organisations that have played significant roles in safeguarding Africa’s traditions and advancing wellness practices rooted in indigenous knowledge systems.

The initiative also aims to highlight the importance of cultural identity and traditional values in national development.
