The Civil and Local Government Staff Association of Ghana (CLOGSAG) has announced the cessation of its nationwide strike, following a government appeal to allow a 14-day window for the resolution of outstanding issues.

Addressing a news conference on Tuesday, March 17, Executive Secretary Isaac Bampoe stated,

"The National Executive Committee of CLOGSAG has considered the government’s 14-day appeal to address concerns relating to our salary structure and conditions of service. EXCO has decided to suspend the nationwide strike. We are instructing our members to resume work by March 24, 2026."

Notwithstanding the strike's suspension, CLOGSAG's leadership has confirmed it will not appear before the National Labour Commission, citing ongoing legal proceedings against the Commission. The strike, which commenced on March 9, 2026, was aimed at pressing for the full implementation of a memorandum of understanding providing a distinct salary structure for members within the Civil and Local Government Services.
