In collaboration with the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, the African Centre for Parliamentary Affairs today began a Political Inclusion and Consensus-Building project led by the Rt. Hon. Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin.
The Speaker emphasized in his speech that democracy must be based on the trust of the people and extend beyond elections. To fortify institutions and promote unity, he asked stakeholders to place a high priority on openness, communication, and collaboration. In order to create a more secure and inclusive future for Africa, he also urged young people to learn politics from real-world experiences rather than merely textbooks.
