All of the top candidates running in the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) presidential primaries have provided financial assistance, according to some delegates in the Ledzokuku Constituency.
Some delegates freely acknowledged the precise amounts they obtained from the various camps, while others characterized the funds as transportation assistance intended to help them travel to polling locations.
Francis Kwarteng, the Tsui Bleoo Electoral Area Coordinator, revealed to Adom News that he was backed by three candidates. He claims that he received ₵700 from Dr. Bryan Acheampong, ₵500 from Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and ₵1,700 from Kennedy Ohene Agyapong.
He clarified that the money was offered as pre-primary logistical support, which he said many delegates depend on to pay for transportation and other election-related costs. As delegates discuss their experiences in the fiercely competitive NPP flagbearer race, similar confirmations have surfaced from different regions of the district.
As the NPP gets ready to choose a candidate to lead it into the 2028 general elections, the development contributes to existing discussions over campaign funding and delegate support in internal party elections.
