On Saturday, January 31, 2026, during the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential primary, chaos reportedly broke out at the Builsa North Constituency voting centers when delegates allegedly demanded money from Dr. Bryan Acheampong's campaign agent.
Five candidates are running for the party's flagbearer for the 2028 general elections in the nationwide NPP primaries: Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, Kennedy Agyapong, Dr. Bryan Acheampong, Dr. Yaw Osei Adutwum, and Kwabena Agyepong.
After the polls close and the ballots are tallied, results from Builsa North are anticipated later today. Party leaders have not yet commented on the alleged event.
