The culprit, who has been identified only as Mallachy, reportedly, used a broken bottle to stab the neck of Gabriel Arhin, causing life-threatening injuries to him at Kronum, around 6:30 p.m. on January 24, 2026.According to the Suame District Police, Mallachy, without provocation, accused Arhin of bleaching his skin, and this promptly culminated in a vicious fight between the two driver’s companions, who are buddies.
Mallachy, who was furious and gasping for air, allegedly stabbed Arhin in the neck with a broken bottle after witnesses were able to separate the two rival pals. "Both the victim and the suspect are friends and drivers' mates residing at Kronum," according to a police statement. They met for a drink at a beer bar in Kronum Kyerease on January 24, 2926, at around 6:30 p.m.
"The victim became enraged and they got into a fight after the suspect accused him of bleaching his skin. Unsatisfied, the suspect smashed a Coca-Cola bottle and stabbed the victim in the neck when they were separated by onlookers. Arhin's father, Kwadwo Oheme Williams, reported the incident to the police, who then went to see the victim in the hospital, where he is receiving treatment, according to the police.
"Kwadwo Oheme Williams, the complainant, provided a statement, and a Police Medical Report Form was issued for the doctor's approval. Gabriel Arhin, the victim, was admitted and responding to treatment when police hurried to the KATH Accident and Emergency Ward. He later provided a statement, according to the report. According to the police, Mallachy after stabbing Arhin, went into hiding, underlining that “Efforts are being made to trace the whereabouts of the culprit for his arrest,” to assist in police investigations.
