Jambo Spaces proudly marked a major milestone on July 5th with the graduation of the first cohort of the African Digital Creator Academy (ADCA) — Ghana’s pioneering creative training program for young digital storytellers.

Established by Jambo Spaces with support from the French Embassy, ADCA was created to nurture the next generation of African digital creators by equipping them with the skills, tools, and entrepreneurial mindset needed to thrive in the global content economy.

“The global digital creation market is worth over $30 billion, yet Africa contributes just 2% of that value. That’s why ADCA exists — to close that gap,” said Bernard Sokpe, co-founder of Jambo Spaces.

With empathy for the challenges African creatives face — from monetization to access and recognition — the Academy offers an intensive, hands-on 8-week program designed to bridge the gap between raw talent and sustainable digital careers.

A Curriculum Built for the 21st-Century Creator

The ADCA curriculum blends technical mastery with creative business skills. Students received practical training in:

Storytelling and pitching

Brand building

Content monetization

Copyright and basic law

Photography and videography for content creators

Beyond the classroom, ADCA provided students with real-world opportunities including internships at top Ghanaian media and marketing firms, and an immersive experience at the Cannes Lions Festival in France for selected students.

“I think so far it’s been very insightful. I find all our four tutors very knowledgeable in the fields they find themselves in,” shared one student during the program.

Celebrating a New Generation

The inaugural class featured 14 young creatives from across Ghana, each bringing fresh perspectives and unique stories. The graduation event celebrated not only their achievements but the larger potential of Africa’s creative economy.

With the introduction of a new AI-driven educational tool and plans to scale through a hybrid learning model, Jambo Spaces is on a mission to impact 100,000 African creators by the end of 2026.

“This is just the beginning,” said the Jambo Spaces team. “Africa’s creative economy is rising — and we are here to help it soar.”
