The 2026 edition of Pa Gya! Literary Festival, one of Ghana’s leading international literary festivals, marked its tenth anniversary with a series of engaging and exciting activities. Among the highlights was an innovative literary event titled “Tour on Pages with AMA Ghana.”
Organised by Adwinsa Publications Ghana Limited and the Ghana Library Authority in partnership with the festival, the event provided participants, comprising mainly basic school and senior high school students, alongside some adults, with an opportunity to explore Ghana’s tourism sector through an engaging reading and discussion session.
The session featured Dr. Nii Ayi Solomon, a tourism consultant, poet and playwright; Nana Akua Asante, Co-founder and CEO of Kids in Tourism Ghana; and Ursula Abena Brago, who represented Mr. Ziblim Alhassan, Executive Director of the Ghana Library Authority.
Through shared reading and interactive conversations, participants explored how books can serve as gateways to discovering Ghana’s diverse tourism attractions and experiences. With AMA Ghana as the book of focus, the session highlighted the role of literature in promoting tourism while deepening appreciation for the country’s rich history, cultural heritage and national identity.

The initiative also underscored the potential of reading to inspire young people to discover Ghana, appreciate its heritage and develop a stronger connection with the country’s tourism offerings.

“Tour on Pages with AMA Ghana” was held at 1:30 p.m. at the Foundation for Contemporary Arts, located at the W. E. B. Du Bois Memorial Centre in Cantonments, Accra, as part of the activities marking the tenth anniversary of the Pa Gya! Literary Festival.
