The former National Vice Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and NDC’s revered “Zongo President,” H.E. Alhaji Said Sinare, has taken a bold stand against what he describes as a “desperate farce wrapped in hypocrisy” following the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) call for the dismissal of the NDC’s firebrand communicator, Sammy Gyamfi.
In a scathing Facebook post that has since gone viral, the veteran politician did not mince words in dismantling the NPP’s credibility, accusing the opposition party and its sympathizers of political double standards, selective morality, and chronic hypocrisy. According to Sinare, the same NPP that shamelessly protected Cecilia Dapaah — under whose roof millions of dollars were stashed in wardrobes and bathrooms — now wants to crucify Sammy Gyamfi over an $800 gesture of goodwill. The irony, he says, is not just appalling but insulting to the intelligence of Ghanaians.
“How dare the New Patriotic Party — a morally bankrupt, scandal-ridden, corruption-infested political syndicate — muster the audacity to demand the dismissal of Sammy Gyamfi... for exhibiting compassion, generosity, and benevolence — virtues utterly alien to the cold-hearted charlatans now calling for his head?” Sinare wrote with justified fury.
Sinare’s blistering commentary did not spare some elements within the NPP minority caucus in Parliament who have lent their voice to what he calls a “treacherous chorus.” He describes such members as “political liabilities” who lost their voices during major corruption scandals under the previous Akufo-Addo/Bawumia administration but now find the courage to attack one of Ghana’s most vocal anti-corruption crusaders.
He further warned that the NPP’s real fear is not about the $800 gift but about the powerful voice of Sammy Gyamfi — a man whose fearless communication continues to expose the rot, deception, and failures of the opposition party. “You don’t silence your bravest warrior because the enemy complains — you shield him, salute him, and send him back to the battlefield,” Sinare emphasized when warning NDC sympathizers.
With rhetorical fire, Sinare painted a vivid picture of the rot festering under the previous NPP government, from the COVID-19 loot, SML contract scandal, to the nepotistic appointments that have weakened public confidence in national institutions. He cited figures like Bryan Acheampong and Ken Ofori-Atta as examples of how the NPP converted public service into private fiefdoms — and yet, the party said nothing.
To the NDC rank and file, Sinare issued a rallying call — reminding them that Sammy Gyamfi is not the problem, but the antidote to the lies and manipulation of the NPP. He urged unity within the party and called on supporters to reject internal betrayals and external infiltrations.
Alhaji Said Sinare concluded his post with the firm declaration that the fire of truth, embodied by Sammy Gyamfi, will not be extinguished:
“Sammy Gyamfi represents the fire you fear — and that fire shall blaze even brighter in the coming days.”
His statement has since ignited widespread support across social media platforms with trending hashtags like #IStandWithSammy, #ExposeNPPHypocrisy, and #SammyStays, reaffirming the NDC base’s confidence in their National Communications Officer.
