Accra, Ghana — June 3, 2025— NDC Insight issues a strong and urgent call to all law enforcement agencies and relevant authorities to uphold their constitutional mandate: to serve justice without fear or favor. It is time for decisive action. Enough talk, enough delays, enough cover-ups. Ghanaians demand accountability, transparency, and the swift recovery of stolen public funds.
The Frustration of a Nation
Ghanaian citizens are increasingly frustrated and disillusioned with the persistent pattern of impunity surrounding corruption and misappropriation of public resources. While ordinary Ghanaians struggle with rising poverty, unemployment, and inadequate social services, a select few public officials looted the nation’s coffers with impunity. The glaring disparity is unacceptable. It is time to end the culture of “plenty talk and do the doing” — the rhetoric that has become a refrain but never translated into tangible justice.
The Double Standard in Justice
It is profoundly disheartening that individuals who openly plunder public funds often walk free, while ordinary citizens, driven by hunger or desperation, are swiftly prosecuted for minor thefts. The stark contrast between these two realities underscores a deep systemic failure. If a public official, entrusted with millions of Ghanaian taxpayers’ money, misappropriates these funds, they should be prosecuted and punished accordingly. Conversely, if a hungry citizen steals a bag of gari, they will be jailed and serves a longer sentence than those who have stolen from the nation’s future.
Our Call for Action
ND C Insight and Dr. Anthony Sorkpah demand that law enforcement agencies and judicial authorities:
1. **Break the Silence and Act Swiftly:** Immediately commence investigations into all allegations of corruption, misappropriation, and theft involving public officials.
2. **Recover All Looted Funds:** Implement rigorous asset tracing, freezing, and recovery operations on stolen assets related to scandals such as the ECG scandal, PDS scandal, National Cathedral funds, Pwalugu Dam, the Odor River and Korley River projects, illegal mining, Skytrain scandal, Sputnik V vaccine scandal, NSA scandal, and others.
3. **Prosecute and Jail Corrupt Officials:** Ensure that all individuals found guilty, whether in government, public institutions, or private sector colluding with public officials, are prosecuted and jailed without exception.
4. **Restore Public Trust:** Demonstrate that Ghana’s resources are for development, not for the enrichment of a few. Redirect recovered funds into infrastructure, healthcare, education, and social welfare.
5. **Enforce Zero Tolerance:** Send a clear message that corruption will no longer be tolerated, and perpetrators will face the full weight of the law.
The Urgency of Now
Ghanaian citizens are tired of the endless cycle of talk and inaction. We are tired of seeing public officials, in suits and air-conditioned offices, enjoy their illicit gains while the masses suffer. The nation’s wealth belongs to all Ghanaians — it is not the personal property of a few. We call on the law enforcement agencies to **“walk the talk”** and **“sew action”** — to seize the moment and act decisively.
The Way Forward
The nation’s resources are substantial enough to revolutionize Ghana’s infrastructure, health, and education sectors. The funds involved in scandals like ECG, PDS, the National Cathedral, Pwalugu Dam, illegal mining, and other high-profile cases are public knowledge. These resources can transform our country if recovered and used appropriately.
Enough with the talking. The people of Ghana demand action.** We are ready to see our stolen monies recovered, assets frozen, and public officials jailed. The time for excuses is over.
ND C Insight stands in full support of this movement for justice and accountability. We urge all stakeholders — law enforcement, judicial authorities, and government officials — to prioritize these investigations and deliver justice swiftly.
Ghana deserves a reset. Ghana deserves justice. Ghana deserves leaders who serve the people, not themselves.**
