According to reports from Nigeria, Nollywood actress Pat Ugwu, often known as Sugar Girl, has died. Her death was confirmed by her colleague, veteran actor Emeka Okoye, who used social media to communicate the awful news and share funeral plans with her followers.

Emeka Okoye's touching post read: "Rest in peace, Sis. Pat Ugwu. @patpat_ugwu. So we don't get to work anymore? Why did I die? Dear God, please. Pat, rest in peace. May you find rest in the Lord's bosom. Please protect all of my colleagues, especially those close to me. This strange death is terrifying. This 2025, I announce life to everyone dear to me through Jesus' beautiful blood. Amen."

The funeral arrangements indicate that a wake-keeping will be held today in her father's compound, with her burial slated for tomorrow in Enugu state.

Pat Ugwu was well-known for her parts in films such as Lack of Money (2018), Port-Harcourt Lady (2019), and Twist of Fate (2020). In addition to performing, she worked as a fitness coach for PatPat Fitness, a beauty business owner, and a permanent makeup trainer.
