On February 13th, a sprinter van heading from Kumasi to Nalerigu collided with a Kia Reno driving from Bolgatanga to Tamale. The investigation is still underway, but witnesses suspect a trailer parked too close to the road may have caused the incident. Emergency crews responded promptly and determined that nine individuals had perished, while 15 others were brought to the hospital and are fighting for their lives.

Police and the transport union in Walewale are working hard to notify the relatives of those who died and those injured.

Fortunately, both drivers survived the incident and are receiving medical attention; however, they are unable to provide remarks at this time.

This terrible tragedy emphasizes the importance of road safety and the catastrophic consequences of negligent driving behavior.
