Kwami Sefa Kayi, host of the Kokrokoo Morning Show on Peace FM, has issued an unequivocal apologies to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and invited them back to appear on his show.

The NDC boycotted the Kokrokoo show in May 2020, accusing the host, Kwami Sefa Kayi, as a dictator and biased.

According to a statement signed by Sammy Gyamfi, the decision was made in response to the radio station's 'unfair paneling system, which the production team of that programme has continually foisted on the NDC over the course of several months.

With effect from today, Wednesday, May 6, 2020, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) has decided to boycott Peace (104.3) FM's morning show (Kokrokoo), according to a statement released by the party's National Communication Bureau, Sammy Gyamfi stated.

All attempts to persuade the program's producers and host to replace Allotey Jacobs, the party's former NDC Central regional chairman, with a reasonable NDC member had failed, the NDC added, adding that "the party continues to be treated with utmost contempt."

Nearly five (5) years have passed since the NDC boycotted the exhibition, and Kwami Sefa Kayi has spoken out about the event, urging that peace prevail and that the two parties resume their collaborative efforts.

"Let the past be the past. They ought to return and allow us to collaborate. They depend on us, and we depend on them. They ought to come back to the show since we have the largest platform and they are the ruling political party. Being in charge of the Kokrokoo show, I accept responsibility for the incident. I beg them to let's work together and end this standoff," he stated.

Kwami Sefa Kayi said that the station's management supports him in this apology, demonstrating that they had worked behind the scenes to resolve the issue.
