Mavis Hawa Koomson, the Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East, has strongly denied allegations of election rigging made by the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC). She maintained that her electoral successes have always been legitimate, stating "I have never rigged an election before, and I always win genuinely" .

Hawa Koomson, a prominent figure in the New Patriotic Party (NPP), expressed confidence in the electoral process and called for peaceful conduct during the elections in the Awutu Senya East constituency. She assured constituents that she would not tolerate any attempts to disrupt the process and pledged to ensure a peaceful election in Kasoa.

It's worth noting that Hawa Koomson has been a Member of Parliament for Awutu Senya East since 2017 and has a strong educational background, holding a Master's degree in Public Administration . She has also been involved in various roles, including being a Headmistress and a Teacher at the Ghana Education Service .
