Despite the challenges, the Electoral Officer declared Phillis Naa Koryoo Okunor the winner with 50,886 votes, defeating Koomson's 45,638. Okunor has vowed to ensure justice for the deceased and to bring a "new dawn" to the constituency .
Koomson had previously won the seat in 2020 with 57,114 votes (52.55%) against Okunor's 51,561 (47.45%) . The constituency has historically been a stronghold of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), making Okunor's victory a significant upset.
