Ewurabyna Aubynn, the NDC parliamentary candidate for Ablekuma North, has been declared the MP-elect for the area. This announcement was made on December 10, 2024, after 219 results out of 281 polling stations were collated. The Ablekuma North seat has been occupied by the NPP for the past 20 years, making Ewurabena's win a significant shift in the area's politics.

The declaration was preceded by a standoff between NPP and NDC members at the Greater Accra Regional collation center, which began on December 8, 2024. The situation escalated on December 9, 2024, when supporters of the NDC stormed the collation center, but were prevented from accessing the collation room by military and police personnel.

Nana Akua Afriyie, the NPP parliamentary candidate, has refused to accept the declaration, claiming she is the rightful winner of the seat. According to the Chairman of the NPP in the constituency, the EC official was compelled to declare the results under duress from NDC members.
