Former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta has undergone successful prostate cancer surgery in the U.S., his family has confirmed.

The procedure, which lasted over four hours, was carried out on Friday, June 13, at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.

His wife, Prof. Angela Ofori-Atta, noted that the operation went well despite the stress caused by the Special Prosecutor’s red alert issued just days prior.

“This has been very difficult, but Kenneth is resilient,” she said, adding that the family is grateful for the support and prayers they’ve received.
