The National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP) has appointed Priscilla Naa Aklerh Okantey Plange as the Greater Accra Regional Director, bringing on board a dynamic leader with a strong background in youth development, project management, and social entrepreneurship.
A 2022 Mandela Washington Fellow, Priscilla has built an impressive leadership profile over the years. She most recently served as the CEO for Madina Job Center and was also the 2023 Projects and Programs Director for the Mandela Washington Fellowship Alumni Association of Ghana, where she initiated MWF Regional projects.
Her appointment is a significant milestone, reflecting not only her personal dedication to public service and community empowerment but also her growing influence in Ghana’s development space. Throughout her career, Priscilla has demonstrated a unique ability to design and deliver grassroots programs that create jobs, build capacity, and drive inclusive economic growth.
Priscilla holds a degree in Petroleum Geoscience, an MBA in Project Management, and has just completed her Bachelor of Laws. She is a 2015 YALI West Africa Fellow, a 2018 Queen’s Young Leader recognized by Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, and a 2018 Obama Leader under the Obama Foundation’s leadership program.
In her new role at NEIP, Priscilla is expected to oversee the implementation of key national initiatives such as the Adwumawura Initiative and other youth-centered enterprise development programs across the Greater Accra Region..
Expressing her gratitude, Priscilla stated:
“It’s an honour to serve in this capacity at such a critical time for youth innovation and enterprise development in Ghana. I’m especially grateful to the leadership of NEIP for their confidence in me and for the incredible foundation they’ve laid. I look forward to supporting the team and building together to support young people and startups in the Greater Accra Region.”
Her appointment has been widely welcomed by youth networks, civil society actors, and entrepreneurship advocates who see her as a results-oriented leader committed to transformative change.
