One year ago, the people of Ghana made a historic choice, entrusting the reins of power to President John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to steer the nation towards a brighter future. The Volta Region stood as a beacon of hope, unwavering in its commitment to the Reset Agenda, and today, the results are palpable.

In a statement, Mawutor Agbavitor, Volta Regional Chairman of the NDC, reflected on the transformative journey so far, lauding the collective resolve of the Ghanaian people, particularly the Volta Region, in putting the country back on track. “One year ago today, we proved what a determined people can achieve when destiny calls,” he said.

The numbers tell a story of their own: the cedi is stabilizing, fuel prices are easing, inflation is calming, and hope is returning to the nation’s young people. These are not mere statistics; they are a testament to the leadership of President Mahama, who has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the people, listening to their concerns and acting with purpose.

The Reset Agenda, launched with much fanfare, is steadily becoming a reality, with the Volta Region at its core. Agbavitor hailed the region’s resilience, declaring, “The Volta Region remains the backbone of this transformation, and we will not retreat, we will not slow down, and we will not allow Ghana to slip back into chaos.”

As the NDC government continues to work tirelessly for the people, the Volta Region stands as a shining example of what can be achieved when a people are united in purpose. “The Reset is steady, the Reset is sure, and together, we move,” Agbavitor concluded.
