The Coalition of Unemployed Trained Teachers (CUTT), comprising 2023 graduates from all the 46 accredited Public Colleges of Education in Ghana, has issued a passionate appeal to the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Education, and the Ghana Education Service (GES) to take urgent action towards their recruitment.
In a statement released today, CUTT highlighted the frustration and growing hardship being endured by its members who, despite successfully completing the four-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) programme, passing the Ghana Teacher Licensure Examination (GTLE), and completing their mandatory National Service in February 2025, still find themselves unemployed.
"The continued silence from authorities is causing severe financial, emotional, and psychological hardship to our members nationwide," the statement read. "We are ready and willing to serve, yet the state continues to waste the skills and resources invested in our professional training. We can no longer remain silent while our future remains uncertain and neglected. ."

The coalition is therefore calling for two key actions:
Immediate financial clearance from the Ministry of Finance to pave the way for recruitment.
Urgent opening of the GES recruitment portal by the Ministry of Education and GES.
With thousands of qualified, trained teachers left idle, CUTT insists that failure to act promptly will deepen the crisis of unemployment and waste vital human resources in the education sector.
The group has also assured its members and the general public of continuous engagement with stakeholders and media to ensure their voices are heard.
