A 60-year-old British tourist, Chris John Glennon, was robbed by three companions at a Pattaya hotel. Glennon, who uses a wheelchair and has a speech disability, met the individuals near Pattaya Beach and invited them to his room at the Basaya Beach Hotel & Resort. While he showered, they stole approximately 6,000 baht (£140) and £150.

Glennon reported the incident to hotel staff using a translation app and police were notified. Authorities have identified two suspects and are investigating. This incident highlights concerns about vulnerable tourists being targeted in Pattaya.

The hotel cooperated with police, providing CCTV footage. The investigation continues to locate the suspects and gather evidence. This case adds to a pattern of hotel-room thefts in Pattaya involving vulnerable guests.
