Asana Salifu is a passionate educator, professional counsellor, and meticulous accountant whose career trajectory reflects her unwavering commitment to the development of young minds, the promotion of mental well-being, and the efficient management of financial resources.
With over a decade of experience in the field of education and counselling, Asana brings a rare blend of compassion, intellect, and versatility to every professional space she occupies. Her story is one of resilience, purpose, and excellence, a testament to her dedication to personal growth and societal impact.
Born and raised at Agona Swedru in the Central Region of Ghana, Asana’s early passion for teaching and community service laid the foundation for a fulfilling career in education. She began her professional journey at the University of Education, Winneba, where she pursued a Diploma in Early Childhood Education, graduating in 2013. This initial academic pursuit gave her the pedagogical grounding to work with young children, nurturing them with patience, creativity, and love. Recognizing the evolving needs of the educational sector and her own growing interest in the emotional and psychological development of students, she went on to earn a Bachelor of Education in Guidance and Counseling from the same institution in 2016. This qualification enhanced her capacity to support learners beyond academics, enabling her to provide tailored guidance, emotional support, and behavioural interventions.

In her desire to broaden her professional impact and contribute to conflict resolution and social justice, Asana further pursued and successfully completed a Master’s degree in Human Rights and Conflict Management in 2018. This unique blend of education, counselling, and conflict management has empowered her to work across different spheres of society, whether it’s the classroom, family settings, or civil society spaces, with a nuanced understanding of human behavior, rights, and conflict dynamics.

As a professional teacher, Asana is known for her enthusiasm in the classroom, her adaptive teaching methods, and her ability to inspire trust and confidence in her pupils. Her love for children is not only evident in her teaching philosophy but also in her personal life. She is a devoted mother of three energetic boys, including a set of twins, and brings the same nurturing spirit from her home into the classroom. Her family life enriches her understanding of child development and strengthens her ability to relate to parents and guardians from a place of empathy and lived experience.
Beyond her teaching and counselling duties, Asana Salifu holds a distinct identity in the world of finance as a trained and practicing accountant. Her competence in financial management and budgeting has been instrumental in her roles within the creative industry. She currently serves as both the Productions Coordinator and Accountant of Eagle Sight Productions, a growing multimedia and film production company based in Accra. At Eagle Sight Productions, she combines her administrative prowess, financial acumen, and passion for the arts to support the company’s creative vision and operational goals. Her dual role reflects her exceptional ability to multi-task and her belief in the transformative power of storytelling and visual media.
Asana’s involvement in film and media is not coincidental. From a young age, she has harbored an “impeccable love” for film and the arts, a passion that continues to shape her worldview. She believes that the arts provide a powerful medium for education, healing, and social change. Her presence in the creative industry is both deliberate and visionary; she uses her counselling skills to support script development, cast management, and thematic integrity, ensuring that productions not only entertain but also educate and inspire.
In every environment she finds herself, Asana stands out as a multidimensional professional. Her unique ability to integrate education, mental health, conflict sensitivity, financial discipline, and artistic insight makes her a rare asset in any institution or organization. She is respected by her peers for her calm demeanor, problem-solving skills, and strong ethical values. Whether she is leading a classroom session, managing a team on a film set, preparing financial reports, or counselling a troubled student, Asana’s authenticity and competence shine through.
Her professional interests continue to evolve, with ongoing engagements in community-based initiatives focused on youth development, gender advocacy, and peaceful conflict resolution. She regularly facilitates workshops and seminars in schools and faith-based institutions, speaking on topics such as effective parenting, emotional intelligence, adolescent development, conflict resolution, and financial literacy. As a mentor to many young professionals, especially women balancing career and family life, Asana is admired for her resilience, humility, and her ability to maintain professional excellence while staying deeply rooted in family values.
A lifelong learner, Asana believes in the importance of continuous professional development and is currently exploring avenues to deepen her expertise in educational leadership and social entrepreneurship. She hopes to one day establish a holistic child development center that combines early childhood education, family counselling, and creative therapy for children and young adults from underserved communities.
She represents the kind of professional that 21st-century Ghana needs: one who is dynamic, community-centered, and committed to excellence across multiple disciplines. Her life and career serve as a beacon of hope for young women, aspiring educators, and professionals seeking to create impact at the intersection of education, mental health, and creative arts.
As she looks to the future, Asana remains committed to championing educational innovation, promoting emotional well-being among students and families, and advancing the arts as a tool for development and nation-building. Her journey continues to inspire, and her best is yet to come.
