The Member of Parliament for Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abirem (KEEA), Samuel Atta Mills, has officially commissioned a new zonal party office at Ntranoa in the Central Region, marking a significant step in strengthening grassroots political organization in the area.
The colourful event brought together traditional authorities, party executives, and residents, including Nana Kweku Ntsin, Chief of Ntranoa, the Municipal Chief Executive for KEEA, Ishmael Zagoon-Saeed, and Chairman Kweku Wontumi Taaki.
In his address, Hon. Samuel Atta Mills emphasized that the establishment of the zonal office will enhance effective coordination, mobilization, and communication within the party at the grassroots level. He noted that strong local structures remain key to sustaining development and ensuring that the needs of the people are adequately represented.
Touching on development, the MP assured residents that the abandoned and incomplete school building project left behind by the previous New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration will soon be completed to provide a conducive learning environment for school children in Ntranoa.

He further addressed concerns about the long-dormant Komenda Sugar Factory, stating that deliberate steps are being taken to resolve operational challenges and revive the factory. According to him, efforts are far advanced to ensure the facility resumes operations, which will create employment opportunities and boost the local economy.

On infrastructure, the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Ishmael Zagoon-Saeed, disclosed that the road from SNNIT to Ntranoa has been earmarked for construction to improve transportation and accessibility in the area.

Backing this assurance, Hon. Atta Mills explained that contractors are expected to move to site to begin work on the SNNIT–Ntranoa road immediately after the completion of the ongoing Abrube Ano road project. He urged residents to remain patient, assuring them that government remains committed to delivering on its promises.

The commissioning ceremony was met with enthusiasm from residents, who expressed optimism about the projects outlined. Many believe the new zonal office and the promised developments signal a renewed focus on growth and improved living conditions in Ntranoa and the wider KEEA municipality.
