The Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly (CCMA), led by the Metropolitan Chief Executive (MCE), Hon. George Justice Arthur, has donated 50 chairs and two dustbins to the Oguaa Traditional Area to support activities at the Oguaa Traditional Council Palace.

The items were presented by the MCE during a visit to the Palace as part of efforts by the Assembly to support the Traditional Area and improve facilities at the Palace.

Speaking during the presentation, Hon. George Justice Arthur explained that his decision to provide the chairs was influenced by observations he made during several visits to the Palace.

According to him, he noticed that the existing chairs at the Palace were inadequate to accommodate the number of guests who usually visit, while most of the available chairs were plastic and, in his view, did not adequately reflect the status and dignity of the Palace of Osabarima Dr. Kwesi Atta, Paramount Chief of Oguaa Traditional Area.

He noted that providing additional and more appropriate seating would help ensure that guests who visit the Palace are comfortably accommodated during traditional and official functions.



The MCE also explained the importance of the two dustbins donated to the Palace, saying visitors may consume water and other refreshments during their stay, making proper waste disposal facilities necessary.



He stressed the need for the Palace to maintain a clean and orderly environment and urged visitors to make proper use of the dustbins.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Oguaa Traditional Area, Osabarima Dr. Kwesi Atta expressed his appreciation to Hon. George Justice Arthur and the Cape Coast Metropolitan Assembly for the gesture.

The Paramount Chief thanked the MCE for identifying the needs of the Palace and responding to them, describing the donation as a thoughtful initiative.

The donation, he said, demonstrates the importance of collaboration between the Metropolitan Assembly and the Oguaa Traditional Council in promoting the development and dignity of the traditional area.
