The OTE Dollar Foundation has renovated and handed over a washroom facility to the Ghana National College Basic and Inclusive School in Cape Coast as part of activities to mark the birthday of its Executive Director, Mr. Rockson Arthur.

The project, completed on March 5, 2026, forms part of the foundation’s first legacy initiative for the year and was aimed at improving sanitation conditions for students and staff of the school.

According to the foundation, the washroom facility was previously in a dilapidated state, prompting the organisation to intervene after assessing the school’s sanitation challenges. Skilled artisans, including a mason, carpenter, plumber, and painter, were engaged to carry out the renovation works to restore the facility to a usable condition.

The upgraded washroom was officially handed over during the school’s African Day celebration, where members of the foundation joined students and staff to commission the project.

Representatives of the OTE Dollar Foundation said the initiative reflects the organisation’s continued commitment to supporting education and improving basic infrastructure in schools to create a better learning environment for children.

As part of the birthday outreach activities, the foundation also extended its humanitarian support to new mothers in the Cape Coast Metropolis.

The team visited four health facilities—Ewim Polyclinic, Adisadel Urban Health Centre, Cape Coast Metropolitan Hospital, and Cape Coast Teaching Hospital—where they interacted with healthcare staff and families.

During the visits, the foundation paid the medical bills of mothers who delivered on March 5, 2026, and presented them with envelopes as a gesture of support and encouragement.

Members of the foundation noted that the activities also served as an opportunity to celebrate the leadership and generosity of Mr. Rockson Arthur.

They stated that his dedication to helping others continues to inspire the work of the foundation and motivates the team to carry out projects that positively impact communities.

The OTE Dollar Foundation indicated that it will continue to undertake legacy projects and humanitarian initiatives throughout 2026 as part of its mission to support education, healthcare, and community development across Ghana.
