President John Dramani Mahama has returned to Ghana following a productive official visit to France, where he engaged in high-level discussions aimed at strengthening ties between the two nations.
During his stay, President Mahama met with French President Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace. The bilateral talks focused on boosting cooperation in critical areas such as health, infrastructure, and economic development, signaling a renewed commitment to deepening Ghana–France relations.
In addition, President Mahama co-chaired the 2026 One Health Summit, a global gathering of leaders and experts dedicated to enhancing international health systems and tackling emerging health challenges. The summit provided a platform for collaborative strategies to address pandemics, zoonotic diseases, and other pressing global health issues.
Officials anticipate that the outcomes of the visit will pave the way for stronger partnerships and concrete initiatives across multiple sectors, reflecting Ghana’s growing role on the international stage.
