Emmanuel Oduro, popularly known as Mr. Oduro, has transitioned from being a Ghanaian hiplife sensation to a certified pharmacist in the United States. The musician, famous for his hit single "Abiba" in the early 2000s, made a conscious decision to pursue a new academic and professional path, earning a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from D'Youville University School of Pharmacy in Buffalo, New York.

In an interview with Joy FM's Kwame Dadzie, Dr. Oduro shared his inspiring story, revealing that his journey into pharmacy began at age 12 when his uncle, a medical doctor, sparked his interest in medicine by giving him books on medications to read. He pursued this passion, earning his degree and practicing pharmacy in the U.S. since 2017.

Although he hasn't fully returned to music, Dr. Oduro has found a way to merge his artistic and scientific worlds. He now uses elements of music and poetry to promote health awareness and discipline, aiming to make health promotion engaging, relatable, and fun.

Dr. Oduro's story serves as an inspiration to many, showcasing the possibility of pursuing new passions and careers while still utilizing one's existing talents. His decision to transition from music to pharmacy demonstrates that it's never too late to change direction and pursue a new dream.
