Final Funeral Rites for Highlife Legend Dada KD Announced

The family of the late Ghanaian Highlife musician, Dada Kwaku Duah, popularly known as Dada KD, has officially released details for his final funeral rites.

According to the announcement, the funeral arrangements will begin with a Lying in State on Saturday, 20th September 2025, at the Forecourt of the State House in Accra, where friends, fans, and loved ones will have the opportunity to pay their last respects to the celebrated singer.

This will be followed by the Burial and Thanksgiving Ceremony on Sunday, 21st September 2025, at Agona-Asamang in the Ashanti Region, his hometown.

The family and organizers have extended an invitation to the general public, noting that the presence of all well-wishers will be greatly appreciated as they honour and celebrate the remarkable life and musical legacy of Dada KD.

Dada KD, remembered for his soothing vocals and timeless contributions to Ghanaian Highlife music, left behind an indelible mark on the industry. His songs continue to resonate with both the young and old, cementing his place as one of the true legends of the genre.
