Minister for Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovations, Samuel Nartey George, has invited the leadership of MultiChoice Ghana, the owners and operators of DSTV, to discuss concerns over their pricing structure and regulatory compliance. Following a meeting with the Country Manager and Board Chair of MultiChoice Ghana, George has directed them to return on Thursday, July 3, 2025, with the Group CEO of MultiChoice Africa.
The meeting aims to ensure that MultiChoice Ghana aligns its pricing strategy with Ghana's economic realities, complies with regulatory requirements, and takes steps to prevent revenue loss. The Minister assured the public that they would be informed of the outcome of the meeting next week.
This move is part of the Ministry's efforts to protect consumers and enforce fair market practices within the digital television space. George's intervention highlights the government's commitment to addressing consumer concerns and promoting a fair and competitive market.
