A popular social media influencer from Botswana, Lesedi Molapisi, has met a tragic end after being executed in Bangladesh for her involvement in drug trafficking.

According to reports, Molapisi was arrested in 2022 at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Bangladesh with 3.145kg of heroin in her possession. She was subsequently found guilty and sentenced to death.

Molapisi's execution, which took place in May last year, has resurfaced on social media after a user shared one of her old tweets, boasting about her lavish lifestyle. The tweet, posted on January 10, 2022, read: "Catch flights and not feelings."

The user, @Iamjosh, quoted Molapisi's tweet, serving as a stark reminder that crime does not pay. The post has sparked a wave of reactions on social media, with many users reflecting on the consequences of Molapisi's actions.
