Accident claims eight lives on Sunyani-Berekum road

Last Saturday, an accident on the Sunyani-Berekum highway claimed the lives of eight people, including mourners. The accident impacted ten people in total.

There were three females and five males among the dead. Four people were being transported from Sunyani to Berekum by the taxicab with registration number AS 4819-17, while four mourners were being transported from Dormaa-Ahenkro to Sunyani by the private vehicle with registration number GN 5753-12.

The Great Wall private vehicle's driver reportedly lost control of the steering wheel and crossed into the taxi lane, causing the collision, which occurred at Amanfoso at approximately 2:30 p.m.
