AQ-Hanson Care Foundation recently paid a courtesy visit to the Omanhen of Edina Traditional Council, Nana Kojo Conduah, in a gesture of goodwill and support for the upcoming Bakatue Festival. Led by the foundation's CEO, Aquinas Hanson, the team brought a modest donation to enhance the festivities.

The donation included 20 bottles of water, a crate of malt, a crate of Guinness, a crate of Club beer, a crate of Coca-Cola, a crate of Smirnoff, a white sheep, and a cash donation of GH₵ 10,000.

Nana Kojo Conduah expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the AQ-Hanson Care Foundation for their generosity. He assured the foundation of his support whenever needed and thanked them for their contribution to the Bakatue Festival. This gesture reflects the foundation's commitment to ensuring the people of Elmina have a memorable celebration.

The Edina Bakatue Festival is a symbol of unity and a celebration of the rich heritage of the Elmina people. It's a time to reconnect with the past, appreciate the present, and look forward to a bright future.

The festival holds deep spiritual significance, as it's a time for the people of Elmina to pay homage to their deity, Nana Benya, and seek blessings for a bountiful fishing season.

The AQ-Hanson Care Foundation's initiative mirrors the spirit of community foundations like the Edina Community Foundation, which brings people together to serve, strengthen, and celebrate their community through philanthropy.
