Mr. Frederick P. Mensah, founder of Way Networks, has weighed in on the ongoing debate surrounding the propriety of polygamy and whether God approves it.
He emphasized that it would be an exhibition of gross ignorance for anyone to suggest that God approves of monogamy and abhors polygamy just because He created one woman for one man.
"To say if God approved of polygamy, he would have created two women and one man is a display of gross ignorance regarding intelligence in creation".
This remarks were made in response to a quotation shared by JoyPrime quotaing one Rev. Dr. Nana Yaa Prempeh "The bible says a man and a woman become one in marriage. If God wanted men to have men to have multiple wives, He would have created two woman for Adam". Conversely, Prophet Kumchacha on the other hand had posited that "A man who marries one women dies early. No pastor can quote a bible verse that says marrying multiple wives would keep you out of heaven".
The Way Networks leader shared his reactions on social media, May 30, 2025. He emphasized that the creator need not create a double replica with the same features to exhibit a natural principle. The principle is inherent in the creature. Juxtaposing polygamy to natural phenomena, he pointed out that studying natural phenomena exposes one to the realization that polygamy is a masculine energy, an inherent principle in any masculine creature, including men and beasts alike.
This position of his aligns with those who believe polygamy is a natural course of life, while monogamy is a social imposition. According to him, the inherent principle of polygamy plays out naturally without anyone teaching or enforcing it. This is what has played out from generation to generation, regardless of the theories for or against the phenomenon.
Referencing men's natural procreative ability, he posited that "If men, by natural principle, are programmed to be monogamous, then like women, once conception takes place, the ability to reconceive another woman should be recessive until the said partner is ready for the next conception," stressed Mr. Mensah. He further added, but the natural principle that governs procreation is not the so for men and beasts.
By virtue of natural principle, no matter the number of partners a woman decides to have, she can only be impregnated by one man. But the opposite is not the case. He underscored, "By natural principle, one man is inherently given the ability by the creator to impregnate as many women as he wants at the same time in the same month."
Mr. Mensah stated this is just to mention a few natural principles unfolding within its phenomena. As to whether this phenomenon is fair or otherwise, he noted that it might be unfavorable to women, but unfortunately, this is what is imprinted in nature.
However, he revealed the Divine principle, and the Creator does not expect natural principles and laws to be abused. Hence, the reasons for a man to be polygamous or monogamous must serve a greater good for the collective well-being of life in the universe, rather than gratifying his sensual desires or a woman's selfish, possessive interests.
"So, the issue of a man being monogamous or polygamous should strictly be the man's choice, influenced by his karmic unfoldment, life path, mission, and agreed purpose of existence", he ended.
