Apostle Amoako Attah, founder and leader of Parliament Chapel International in Ghana, has defended the government's directive requiring all prophets or spiritual leaders to channel prophecies of national significance to the Office of the President.
He described the directive as a good course that has been manipulated satanically against prophets.
Speaking on Angel 102.9 FM in Accra, Tuesday, August 12, 2025, the PCI founder asserted that Ghana being predominantly a Christian nation cannot do without the prophetic office, urging restraint on the part of prophets regarding the new directives. "As a Christian nation whether we like or not, you can never live without a prophetic office. I mean you can't, and you can't", he stressed.
In his quest to help Ghanaians appreciate prophecy, he emphasized that it is against the established protocols of God not to reveal both acceptable and unacceptable prophecies to prophets, stating "It's against the constitution of God not to reveal both bad and good things. Then, He's not God. God neither slumbers nor sleeps. We have to take action for ourselves", he stated.
The Apostle made these remarks in response to the recent statement by the Presidential Envoy for Interfaith and Ecumenical Relations, Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, issued on Sunday, August 10, urging religious leaders nationwide to submit any prophecy or spiritual insight of national importance to its office for urgent review.
The directive focuses particularly on revelations involving high-profile political figures, governance, national security, and matters affecting public stability.
In a bid to defend his colleagues who reference prophecies that have come to pass, he asserted that it is biblical and the prophet cannot be blamed, arguing "If you're not the one who gave me the prophetic anointing, you cannot direct me on what to do with the same anointing. If you didn't make a prophet, you cannot tell me how to do God's work, except God," he cautioned.
The Apostle observed that prophets have provided spiritual support for the country's electoral and democratic journey in various ways. Adding that if there was any moment in our recent history where prophets were mobilized to conduct extensive spiritual exercises regarding elections, then it was the recent 2024 elections. "You can take it or leave it," emphasized the PCI founder.
He observed that prophets have made similar pronouncements in the past, referencing commentaries made by prophets prior to the 2024 elections, warning that it would be hypocritical for Ghanaians to protest recent prophecies.
He, however, acknowledged that President Mahama and Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, being aware of their reputation, do not oppose the prophetic ministry, emphasizing that their good intentions have been misinterpreted. He declared, "It's a satanic crusade, where the positives have been turned into negatives."
Apostle Amoako Attah revealed to the government that Ghana is at the war front with the enemy and we are living in perilous times. The war is spiritual warfare and the soldiers needed to fight the battle on the country's behalf are prophets. If care is not taken, the country would misfire since it's a spiritual war.
"We're in the war front; if you throw your fighters overboard, it will be difficult to win the fight. The people who spoke and did rituals to ensure you won the elections, you can't give them up for people to bring them down. The people who can fight the unseen enemy are the prophets because it's a spiritual battle, otherwise you misfire", he stated em pathetically.
The PCI leader acknowledged that he is fully aware the government's intentions are not negative. He, however, suggested that they could have allowed tensions to subside before making any move, though good, has generated unnecessary consternation.
"The office is good for young prophets. We who are older have numbers of some of the elites in society to call if God gives us any revelation about them", he noted.
