The former Member of Parliament for Techiman South, Henry Yeboah Yiadom-Boachie, has issued a heartfelt plea to Ghanaians to demonstrate fairness and restraint in evaluating the performance of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) government, which has been in office for merely six months.

In an interview on the 'Adekyie Mu Nsem' show on Winners FM 98.5mhz on Saturday, August 8, 2025, in Techiman, the former lawmaker, who represented the constituency from 2017 to 2021 under the New Patriotic Party (NPP), stressed that passing judgment on the current administration would be premature.

“The aim of any political party is to win elections and steer the affairs of the country, and I believe that is exactly the aim of the NDC. They have been in power for only six months, and it would not be fair to assess, rate, or judge them based on just this short period,” he emphasised

Yiadom-Boachie urged the new government to prioritize continuity, particularly by sustaining and completing key developmental projects initiated by the previous NPP administration under President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

“I urge them to continue the good work of former President H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. The NPP government, from 2017 to 2025, initiated many developmental projects across the country, and I appeal to the NDC government not to abandon those projects because governance is progressive,” he stated.

He emphasized that national progress should not be interrupted by changes in political leadership and encouraged the ruling government to build on existing foundations for the benefit of all Ghanaians.
