Dr. Maxwell Boakye, the Western Regional representative on the Council of State, has, in a heartwarming display of compassion and community support, extended a helping hand to little Jayla Queen Fynn.

Dr. Boakye's generous donation of GHC 100,000 is to enable the beneficiary to undergo critical surgery at the prestigious Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

A year and a half old Jayla Queen Fynn from the Ahanta West Municipality in the Western region, who is battling a congenital heart defect, will undergo life-saving surgery to repair a hole in her heart.

This timely intervention will give her a second chance at life, and her family can now breathe a sigh of relief.

To further alleviate the financial burden on her parents, Dr. Boakye, who is affectionately called Palasco, also provided additional GHC 10,000 to support her upkeep before and after the surgery, including transportation to and from Korle-Bu.

This thoughtful gesture will undoubtedly help the little girl 's family to navigate this challenging period.

Dr. Boakye's efforts demonstrate his commitment to helping improve the lives of people in the Western region.

In an interview after the short presentation ceremony, which was witnessed by the immediate family members of the girl and the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the Ahanta West Municipal Assembly, Ing. Ebenezer Kofi Aidoo, the member of the Council of State said that even though his core duty as a member of the Council is to counsel H.E the President, Ministers of State and other heads of public institutions, such a gesture is one of the things he personally does to support those in need.

Dr. Boakye's laudable initiative gives hope to many, especially the people of the western region, on the impact one person can have on the lives of others.

The family of the girl commended the council of state member for the kind gesture and prayed to God to bless him abundantly.

The Ahanta West MCE also expressed his profound appreciation to the council of state member and pledged his commitment to support him to succeed as the Western Regional Council of State Member.
