Some concerned youth of Jomoro Municipality in the Western region, have appealed to the Assembly Members in the area to confirm the Jomoro MCE nominee, Benedict Boadi on April 28, 2025
Benedict Boadi who is the Jomoro NDC Constituency Organizer, was nominated by President John Dramani Mahama on Friday, April 4, 2025.
Western region has 14 district assemblies and so far 10 assemblies had confirmed their nominees.
Jomoro Assembly Members have been urged to learn from other assembly members who have confirmed their MMDCEs and do the needful.
Enock Bazeh alias Ghana Gas who is a resident of Jomoro and an aspiring Jomoro NPP Youth Organizer, has appealed to the assembly members of Jomoro to confirm Benedict Boadi as Jomoro MCE on April 28, 2025.
"As representatives of the people, we urge you to uphold the values of transparency, accountability, and ethical leadership. The MCE position is crucial for the growth and development of Jomoro, and the decision on who to endorse must be based on the candidate's qualifications and ability to serve the community, not personal gain", he called.
He commended the President for reposing confidence in Benedict Boadi by stating that Benedict Boadi would not fail the good people of Jomoro.
In light of this, we strongly urge all assembly members and government appointees to endorse Hon. Benedict Boadi as the MCE for Jomoro Municipality. Hon. Boadi has demonstrated unwavering commitment to the development of Jomoro, and his leadership will guide us toward a prosperous future. We believe he is the right choice to takeover from Hon Louisa Iris Adde the former MCE and push Jomoro forward", he stated.
He took the opportunity to call on assembly members in the Western region to avoid demanding money before confirming the President's nominees.
"It has come to our attention that some assembly members have been accepting money from MMDCE nominees in exchange for their endorsement. This practice undermines the trust of the people we serve and erodes the integrity of our democratic processes", he claimed.
He concluded by stating "Let us put the needs of the people first and make decisions that will benefit our communities for generations to come. I appeal to you all to endorse Hon. Benedict Boadi with 100 per cent endorsement".
Currently, Jomoro Municipal Assembly is without a Presiding Member (PM) and Kennedy Yankey has been tipped as the next Jomoro PM.
